Futurist and social alchemist Andrea Bisker presents new ways to rethink contemporary spaces
Creating environments that promote connections between people and adapt to new ways of living and working was the focus of the presentation by futurist and social alchemist Andrea Bisker during Greenplac's Megaevent, held last Tuesday afternoon (4), at Baleia Rooftop, in São Paulo.
Recognized as one of the leading names in the MDF market, Greenplac gathered architects, interior designers, planners, carpenters, and clients to discuss the transformations that will shape the future of housing and work.
During her lecture, Andrea highlighted the importance for architecture and design professionals to understand the behavioral changes that influence space design. "We are already experiencing significant transformations, such as multi-generational homes, where grandparents and grandchildren share the same environment, the migration of people from urban to rural areas, especially after the pandemic, and the adaptation of residences for living with pets," she explained.
"There is also a global trend of living alone, with a significant increase in the launch of studios up to 30 square meters. In São Paulo alone, this type of development has grown by 21% in the last seven years. The big challenge is to optimize spaces in a context where many professionals work in a hybrid model," the futurist added.
A Master of Consumer Sciences and a global reference in consumer and design trends, Andrea Bisker dedicates her career to futurism, a discipline that analyzes cultural, social, and economic signs and transformations to anticipate scenarios that impact human behavior. She was part of the WGSN team, is the founder of Spark:off consultancy, and co-CEO of Clube Aladas.
Design with purpose and a view to the future
For Laís Carelo, Marketing Manager at Greenplac, understanding changes in the way of living and working is essential for the development of new products and brand standards. "Looking at the future of architecture and design is fundamental for us to create standards that promote harmony and well-being. And we couldn't have a better guest than Andrea Bisker, who brings a global vision of the trends that shape contemporary life," she stated.
The meeting in São Paulo was part of the "Greenplac Megaevents" series, which has already visited several Brazilian cities, such as São José do Rio Preto (SP), Brasília (DF), and Água Clara (MS), where a special edition was held at the company's factory unit.
