Maintaining its commitment to circular design, the company will donate MDF used in its stand for the third consecutive event.
Greenplac's 160+ sq m stand, set up for Expo Revestir 2024, which takes place from March 19th to 22nd at São Paulo Expo in the capital, will be donated to the NGO Construide (https://www.construide.org/) after the event. The charity's mission is to build decent housing for families in situations of social vulnerability, and it has already impacted the lives of more than 27,000 people across Brazil.
This marks the third consecutive time in the last two years that the company has donated all the MDF used in its stands at architecture and decoration events to social entities. The first beneficiary, at the Formóbile 2022 fair, was the Instituto Resgatando Vidas – Grupo Gerando Falcões – and at Expo Revestir 2023, it was the Tabea Diadema social center – a charitable organization that brings together 350 people, including children and adolescents aged 6 to 16, and health and education professionals in the Serraria neighborhood.
These actions are also supported by the stand builders, such as FVG Stands, which, together with Greenplac MDF, reinforce the commitment to sustainability and a future that includes circular design as a real alternative against the waste of very high-quality materials.
For Greenplac, one of its development pillars is social responsibility, embedded in its Green DNA, which since its foundation, has actively dedicated itself to social projects and environmental respect with the same dedication it applies to its production processes, quality, and variety of MDF patterns offered to the furniture sector.
For Laís Carelo, marketing manager, actions like this and others related to the partial or total reuse of raw materials used in events should be considered routine during dismantling, including in the selection of partners or suppliers who share the same synergy of ideals for their companies. "We take circular design very seriously, and this action is, in fact, necessary for us to continue valuing the history and development of our products. I reiterate that for Greenplac MDF, nothing is lost, everything is transformed, and in this year of 2024, circular design and material reuse have an even stronger purpose for us, as it is strongly linked to our creative concept of the year which highlights everything that lasts longer," concludes Laís.
The NGO
Construide began its history in 2017 after a missionary trip to the interior of Piauí. The NGO's founder, Bruno Bordon, encountered the precarious living situation of a family and was driven by the desire to transform their living conditions.
With the aim of raising funds to renovate this home in Piauí, Bruno shared the family's story on his social media, which went viral to thousands of people and has only grown since then.
To make the best use of space and materials, Construide designed 4 Standard House models that seek to meet the needs of different family structures on different plots of land. The models have areas of 21m², 26m², 34m², and 41m², allowing construction anywhere in Brazil and accommodating all family members according to their needs. When a family is selected, the old dwelling is demolished to build a new one according to the standard that fits them.

Expo Revestir
During the fair, Greenplac invites visitors to experience topics widely discussed in major international consumer forums. In one of the inspirational themes for this year's creative concept, "resisting time," Greenplac proposes an immersion in digital capsules that allow guests a moment of reflection on what it means to be timeless, from the perspective of architects, designers, artists, history professors, and carpenters. In another theme, "more conscious choices," the brand advocates that quality is above quantity and promotes a space for fair visitors to sign their name in their own Greenplac product selection box.
Still within this concept of timelessness and strongly betting on the themes above, the company will present to the market Duo Maderatto, a pair of traditional, elegant, sophisticated, classic, and timeless woods as an exclusive brand launch: Ipê Guarani and Jequitibá Silvestre.
